Parish Groups and Ministries

1.
Prayer Groups
Thursday Evening Prayer Group
This group meets weekly (except during school holidays) on Thursday's 7.30pm-9.00pm, followed by supper.  We explore our faith and have regular Seminars with experienced speakers. We begin with Prayer & Praise, followed by a structured program. Prayer is offered after the meeting for those in need.  If you are “stuck” in your faith-life or life in general, this is a good place to tap into all that God has for us, so that we can have the abundant life He has promised.
We belong to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement, renewing God’s people to live the Gospel life more effectively.

Music Group
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.., singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God."(Colossians 3:16)

The Music Ministry provides liturgical music to enhance the Eucharistic celebration and unites all those who have gathered in worship, to enter into the spirit of the different liturgical seasons  through an extensive and thoughtful selection of hymns.
Our music group consists of many dedicated and passionate organists, guitarists and vocalists who come together  to rehearse for each eucharistic celebration. At St Mary Mackillop, we pride ourselves in providing music at every mass throughout the weekend. All musicians and vocalists are given the choice of which mass they wish to participate and share their talents through music and song.

Rehearsals are held  on Monday evenings from 7pm at St Mary MacKillop Church, Keilor Downs, approximately once a month, with additional rehearsals in preparation for major Feast days.

Any parishioners who have a desire  to sing and play are warmly welcomed.
Enquiries about joining in this vital ministry may be made to Rosanna on 0425 751 230.
